Before you begin:

Window film is only suitable for flat, smooth glass surfaces.

All of our films, except some black films, are safe to install on double or triple glazed windows.

We do not recommend using static film for outdoor use as it is more likely to peel off in strong winds.

Using a ruler as a guide, cut the film 1 inch larger than the window size to ensure the film fits the window.

To prevent the film from peeling off, scrape out any bubbles and trim the edges of the film after application.

If a large number of bubbles appear, spray more water between the film and the glass and scrape out the bubbles with a plastic card.

Important:

It is not recommended to install black blackout film on double glazed glass in direct sunlight. The glass may absorb too much heat and may cause cracking. Black film is suitable for tempered, heat strengthened, double glazed, or single tempered glass.

How do I remove the protective backing?

Place two 2-inch pieces of clear tape on each side of one corner of the film, leaving approximately 1 inch of tape on the film. Press the two pieces of tape firmly together and quickly pull apart to begin separating the protective backing from the static side of the film.
